Just a final reminder that the competition closes on WEDNESDAY, 30th September.
As there has been a disappointing number of entries (sob) I am amending the competition details, and opening the competition up to cards, ATCs, Inchies and Twinchies as well as postcards, journals, altered art and scrapbooking.
So I hope there'll be a few more entries! I am so looking forward to seeing what you've done.
Full details of the prizes etc are here, or click the button in the sidebar.
Send me your jpgs!

EDITING PHOTOS - NO STRAIN, NO PAIN
How do you like this great vintage photo effect?

Copyright Mary at Across the Pond
I just found this great photo editor for you - thanks to Mary at Across the Pond (who has a great blog, incidentally) which does everything for you!
It's called PhotoScape - it's FREE - and you can download it here.
For anyone technically challenged, or anyone in a hurry - like me - who just wants to get in, do the job, get out - this is ideal.
I'm really impressed with it - and there's loads of little video tutorials, plus you can do montages, vintage effects, batch editing, add frames and text!
ENJOY!

GESSO RESIST
Here's a nice little video tutorial on gesso resist - using Versamark ink, clear embossing powder plus two contrasting colours of dye ink and a magazine page.
I'd recommend a Crop-a-dile punch (lots easier than poking holes) and Rangers' Cut-n-Dry felt cut up into squares, to apply the ink with. The felt doesn't absorb the ink like sponge does (it just sits on the surface of the felt) so you aren't wasting half your ink when you apply it! Distress Inks, Versamagic and Brilliance inks would also work well.
This is also a great little video for beginners: showing how to ink a stamp, and simple matting and layering effects.
Enjoy!

COMPETITION REMINDER - PLEASE READ
There is still time to send in your competition entries - but please don't send me a link to your blog. I need the actual jpgs of your pieces!
And please don't link to your blogs either - the judging has to be ANONYMOUS!
The staff at Blade Rubber Stamps will choose the best 10 entries, then these will be put up for a vote - but it has to be anonymous or it wouldn't be fair.
So I'm sorry to say I have had to reject one comment as it had a link, and also had to remove two blog links for the above reason. I hope you aren't offended, but this way is the fairest, and stops people voting for a piece because they recognise the name - rather than because they love the artwork.

Time is getting short - now the kids are back at school, I hope you're thinking about the competition!
I've only had one entry so far!
Here are the details again (and please email me if you need any further information).
