TAKE NOTE! POST-IT NOTES PROJECT

Here's a great project for you - a Post-it notes holder - quick and surprisingly easy, by Chris McMillan.

Post it note holder

The holder:
  • Create the holder by cutting charcoal card to 20cm x 9.5cm.
  • Score along the long edge at 9.5cm and 10.5cm and fold.
  • Stamp woodcut ladies (Blade Rubber BR004S) twice with stone gray Staz-On ink.
  • Colour one image with a selection of Marvy Le Plume marker pens.
  • Trim image along border lines and mount on charcoal card.
  • Layer on mauve card with foam pads and attach to cover of holder.
 Inside:
  • Stamp French script ( Hero Arts La Lettre) on top of the post it pad and attach to base.
  • Cut out the three ladies from the second stamped image and glue inside the front cover.
You might have seen this in Craft Stamper's March 2011 issue - but I've managed to get my hands on it to take some really nice closeup photos, so this is your chance to see exactly how Chris did it.

I think this is a great idea as a present to yourself, or a great gift for anyone who works in an office - with a holder like this, you'll never lose them!

Here's how I did it - the project is in Web Extras in Craft Stamper's online section (scroll right down to the bottom).

CRAFT STAMPER - MAY 2011

Photograph copyright Craft Stamper magazine - project copyright me

I've got a project in the Craft Stamper May 2011 magazine - and I got the front cover, too!

OK, to be fair, you'd need your glasses on to see it, so I've helpfully highlighted it (there's no end to my modesty, lol lol lol) but I thought you'd like to see it in all its glory.

I wish I'd had the new camera then, as I don't have any photos myself - but when I get it back from the magazine, I promise to photograph it properly with some closeups for you.
